Interesting sights from last week include this picture of a Kudu foraging on milk weed. It is known that the only creature, namely the African Monarch larvae would eat this plant. Milk Weed is not a staple diet for Kudu and Jacques was quite surprised to come across this sighting.

Trevor was fortunate enough to witness a very rare sighting of a Honey Badger in the Eastern Shores of the Isimangaliso Wetland Park.  The Honey Badger is not commonly seen, and it is not an endangered species, however it is most definitely a rare sighting.

Heritage Tours & Safaris had outstanding sightings again with Elephants, Rhino, Wild Dog, Lion, Buffalo and Hyena.

Yes the park’s grass is extremely long and this makes venturing into the park as a self drive considerably more difficult, hence open game drive safaris they all have the required height for clients to see and enjoy.

Hot spots in the Hluhluwe / Imfolozi at present is North towards Hluhluwe for sightings of Elephant Friday a herd of approximately 100 where sighted. Imfolozi, Sontuli area Wild Dogs and Lion have been spotted.

Cape Vidal is slowly once again starting to sand up , ski boaters should take note of submerged rocks as the sand once again camouflages them ,however the fishing reports of game fish have been good.

Wild life in Cape Vidal as always is spectacular especially the sunset night drives, see the Hippos wallowing at the Hippo Pan.
